
| Sarasota Native American Indian Festival January 25,26,27 2013 Come join us and experience the culture and traditions of the Native American people at the 6th annual Sarasota Native American Indian festival. Artists from all over North America will join us for a weekend of dance, art, music, food and celebration Matthew Horse and the Southern Horse drum will be sharing traditional Native American drumming, singing and various styles of dance throughout the weekend Nashville performing artist Traci Snowe will be joining us and sharing her beauty and talent with us Mark Barefoot, an award winning flute and drum maker is our guest musical artist and entertainer. Chippa Wolf, a historian and educator will present the history of the horse Native culture along with demonstrations of horseback skill General Grant from the Cherokee nation will joining us with his fine hand made jewelry. General Grant wampum jewelry Paul Deluna from the Apache nation will be joining us with his artwork, jewelry and artifacts Dave Farnham, a sculptor from the Ojibwe nation will be joining us Christie Latone from the Zuni nation will be joining us with her inlay silver jewelry Debbie Silva from the Lakota nation will be joining us with her hand made beadwork Lola Rios and her artwork will be with us Harry and Barbara Duran with their leather and beadwork will be there Niles Aserat form the Dine'h nation will be doing onsite jewelry repair for us Miss Sandy will be bringing her wrapped stone jewelry and artwork Melody Sauceda will be joining us with her jewelry Mr. Rex Begaye and his beautiful artwork will be there and of course......miss Lauri and her frybread:) and much more........ Here is the tentative schedule of events... The Sixth Annual Sarasota Indian Festival takes place at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd, from 9-5 Friday, 10-6, Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday.
